Bliss Peeling Groovy Facial Serum

I don’t have the most sensitive type of skin. But as someone who has very dry skin and is prone to have allergic reactions when using stimulative products, I tend to stay away the ‘peeling’ type of products until I have recently met this one from Bliss.

Like a lot of the other Bliss’ products, this product also has a very interesting name – Peeling Groovy Facial Serum.

According to the brand, this serum is equipped with a gentle exfoliating formula that lightens dark spots, brightens skin and retexturises your skin during your sleep.

As previously mentioned, the usual ‘peeling’ product is very abrasive. This is because a lot of them carry AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) that could cause irritation, redness and flaking. Instead of using AHA, Peeling Groovy uses dermatologist-developed AFAs (Filaggrin-based amino acid antioxidants) that are shown to be extremely non-irritating, and are safe for all skin types. Plus, AFAs can attract up to three times the normal levels of moisture, which helps support healthy skin function.

Ok, it all sounds wonderful. Let’s see how it actually works. Simply apply a thin layer of Peeling Groovy (about 3-4 pumps) on my clean but tiring face.

Then wait for 3-5 minutes before applying moisturiser. This is after the wait but pre-moisturiser and you can see it already formed a good base for the following moisturiser.

Once you have moisturiser on, you will see your skin really glows. Oh, and after one good night of sleep? You will have extra soft and even-toned skin!

If you are looking for a gentle peeling product, Bliss Peeling Groovy Facial Serum is for you. It may not work as fast as some of the other ones but it is definitely more gentle on skin. And don’t forget to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day whilst using this product to protect your skin against undesirable skin pigmentation change. Oh well, you should always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day for sun protection anyway, especially when you are using any whitening products.
